While the story does feature some dramatic moments later (some REALLY dramatic moments later), it is at its heart a humorous story focusing on interaction between the main cast, as well as the constant problems that occur when humans try to make sense of the magic and extraterrestrial goings-on in Beach City. It evolves over time into a dramedy featuring the ensemble case of Connie, Steven, Peedee, and Jeff (the guy Connie judo-flipped in Mindful Education). The Connie Maheswaran Fanclub (Or: How Connie Became the Most Popular Topic in School After She Pulled a Sword Out of Lion in Front of Literally Everyone) is a funny story starting with the inciting event of Connie's entire school noticing there's something going on with her, thanks to Lion showing up and Connie pulling a sword out of his head.
